OUR STORY

Bellamy breeders began as a family homestead. After losing multiple animals to predators and trying what felt like everything in our power (from foot depth chicken wire, electric fences, special lighting, and even staking out the property at night ourselves a few times) to keep our sheep and chickens safe, we began looking into livestock guardian dogs (LGD). After a little research into breeds, we quickly decided the Great Pyrenees was exactly the working LGD we needed. Since adding Cheyenne to our family we have not lost a single animal to predators and could not be happier with our sweet girl who has truly become a family protector. It didn't take us long to realize we wanted to add a male to our property and begin breeding these beautiful defenders to help out others looking for help protecting their flocks, herds, and families. Thus Amos, our GIANT akc-registered male, entered the scene and Bellamy Breeders was born.
